It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Irene Haske, beloved wife, aunt, sister, and friend, who left this world on February 19, 2026, at the age of 74. Irene was born on October 21, 1951, to Katherine and Dmytro Szylak, who predeceased her, along with her cherished sister, Diane.
Irene is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Haske, who was her steadfast partner through the joys and challenges of life. She is also remembered fondly by her loving sister, Lily (Ken); her niece, Vicki; Ron’s brothers and sisters, Sue (Rich), Mary (Charles), Bob (Bonnie), Don (Paula), Duane (Angie), Ken (Jeri), and Mark; as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Irene lived a life filled with love, laughter, and generosity. She poured herself into creating beautiful spaces with her passion for home decorating, just as she filled the lives of those around her with joy. An avid traveler, Irene explored the world and shared stories of her adventures, inspiring others to find the beauty in every corner of the earth. Her love for playing slots at the casino brought her excitement and was a favorite pastime among her circle of friends. Most importantly, Irene thrived in the roles of hostess and entertainer, effortlessly bringing loved ones together for unforgettable gatherings and celebrations.
Irene's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. A woman of great spirit and love, she leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will be treasured by her family and friends.
The family will hold funeral services to honor Irene’s life and legacy. At Lee-Ellena Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28th.
